Introduction

The search indexes are now delivered via the "Discovery" facility since DSpace version 3.X.

In DSpace versions 4.X and greater the "Discovery" search index facility via the SOLR service, is the default now.

Requirements

Before attempting setup please make sure the following are correct:

1. Tomcat is listening on TCP port 80.
2. The SOLR webapp is correctly published.

To check configuration, run the following:

/home/dspace/bin/dspace dsrun org.dspace.discovery.configuration.DiscoveryConfigurationService
