Introduction

Since DSpace version 3.X and greater, the browse indexes can be configured to be delivered via the SOLR service.

The browse indexes are now called "facets" using the new "SOLR Discovery" service.

The browse indexes used to only be delivered via the PostgreSQL/Oracle database service.

Requirements

Before attempting setup please make sure the following are correct:

  1. Tomcat is listening on TCP port 80.
  2. The SOLR webapp is correctly published.

For DSpace 4.X

For DSpace 1.8.X
