Default Language

The default language for all services is defined in the "build.properties" and "dspace.cfg" files.

Web UI Locale

Look for the following in the dspace.cfg file and configure accordingly (define supported locales FIRST, then define the default locale). 

webui.supported.locales = en, en_ZA, de
default.locale = en_ZA
NANO Editor Help
CTL+O = Save the file and then press Enter
CTL+X = Exit "nano"
CTL+K = Delete line
CTL+U = Undelete line
CTL+W = Search for %%string%%
CTL+\ = Search for %%string%% and replace with $$string$$
CTL+C = Show line numbers
