Step 11. Critical after installation tasks

Please consult the operational guide for the operational management of a research archive using DSpace software.

Step 11.1

After the DSpace installation, the next step is to ensure that the following are completed immediately.

1. DAILY ADMIN
2. REBUILD DSPACE
3. RESTART DSPACE
4. REBUILD INDEXES

Step 11.2

The next step is to ensure that the following are completed as soon as possible.

1. OPTIMISATIONS
2. HANDLE SERVER
3. INTERNET SECURITY
4. DISASTER RECOVERY

Step 11.3

The following can be completed at a later stage.

1. RESEARCHER AUTHORISATION
2. RESEARCHER IDENTIFICATION
3. CUSTOMISATION
4. SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION
