Filenames used on SUNScholar

The first vital thing about preservable digital objects is to use the correct file naming procedures.The whole filename must be in small caps and have no spaces. Spaces must be replaced with dashes (-) or underscores (_).

Convert your document or file to an open format first. See below.

Then use the following file naming convention:

surname_firstwordoftitle_2012.docx

or if saving as a pdf file, which is preferred.

surname-firstwordoftitle-2012.pdf

All the MSWord files (or other file formats) need to be converted to pdf for submission to SUNScholar.
