Access to the internet is controlled with systems managed by the central IT department. Access is made available by using the Inetkey website. Click on the link below to open an internet session.

Use your network username and password to login to the Inetkey for Internet access.


To self-register your laptop or smartphone for wireless access:

  1. Click on [this link]
  2. Download the pdf file,open it and follow the steps.
  3. If you experience any problems please bring your device to the IT Hub located in Admin A.


Please Note
  1. This browser window must remain open for as long as you require access to the Internet. If you close this browser window your Internet access will be closed after a short time!
  2. If you want to close the Internet connection immediately, click on the Close button.
  3. How much do I pay?


Internet Access
  • Only currently registered students and staff members of Stellenbosch University may have an internet account.
  • Internet accounts are normally managed by the departmental secretary you are affiliated with.
  • Click on the Stellenbosch University logo at the top left to browse this wiki and find your departments contact details.
