Theses/dissertations available in paper format only

  1. Search SUNScholar to establish whether the thesis/dissertation is not available in full text already. If access has been restricted, an embargo applies and the item cannot be accessed without written consent from the Head of the Department. Forward request to scholar@sun.ac.za.
  2. If the thesis/dissertation is only available in paper format via the library catalogue, it can be digitised. Forward the request to scholar@sun.ac.za. Once the thesis/dissertation has been digitized, it will be submitted to SUNScholar and can then be accessed online, provided that no embargo applies.
  3. The individual who requested the digitisation will be notified via e-mail.
  4. A note will be added to the item in SUNScholar to indicate by whom the digitisation was requested (for administrative purposes only, and not for public viewing).
