- Only currently registered students and staff members of Stellenbosch University may have an internet account.
- Internet accounts are normally managed by the departmental secretary you are affiliated with.
- Click on the Stellenbosch University logo at the top left to browse this wiki and find your departments contact details.
- To self-register your laptop or smartphone for wireless access
Students can now register electronic devices (laptops, tablets, etc.) online, when accessing the network via Wi-Fi hotspots with the SSID RegisterMe functionality:
- Download the Selfregistration guide pdf file and follow the steps.
- The web address for the self-registration site will load automatically for most devices, for those that don’t please connect to the following web address: https://maties2.sun.ac.za/selfreg.php
- If you experience any problems please take your device to the IT Hub, located in Admin A, accessible from under the bridge on the Rooiplein.
