Off-campus login failed

If you could not logon successfully from off-campus with your own SU campus Username (also called "network credentials" e.g. 12345678) and unique Password, it might be because your password is not synchronised for all SU security information systems.

Choose one of the following options:

  1. Change your password yourself
  2. If you could not change your password yourself, mail to IT Help and include your SU student number or phone 021 8084367 (office hours 8h00-16h30) to provide you with a new password. Once that is done, you should have access to the library's e-resources using your new network password.


IMPORTANT: For security reasons it is necessary for users to renew their SU network password every 90 days.



How to obtain off-campus electronic access

For off-campus electronic access to the library’s e-resources you need to be a enrolled as a network registered undergraduate-, post graduate- or prospective postgraduate student or an staff member of the University of Stellenbosch. When off-campus and prompted with the ‘off-campus logon screen', log on with your SU campus Username (also called "network" login e.g. 12345678) and unique Password. Once logged in, you will have full access to all the electronic resources the library subscribes to.

If you are a staff member, student or prospective postgraduate student of Stellenbosch University who has not registered for SU network access, and therefore do not yet have a network username and password, view information on how to register and obtain off-campus electronic access to the library's e-resources.

Afkampustoegang onsuksesvol

Indien jy nie met jou eie US kampus Gebruikersnaam (ook bekend as "netwerk aantekenkodes" bv. 12345678) en unieke Wagwoord afkampustoegang kon kry na die biblioteek se e-bronne nie, mag dit wees omdat jou wagwoord nie gesinkroniseer is vir alle US sekuriteit informasiesisteme nie. Kies een van die volgende opsies:

  1. Verander self jou wagwoord
  2. As jy nie jou wagwoord self kon verander nie, epos IT Help en verskaf jou US studentenommer of kontak 021 8084367 (kantoorure 8h00-16h30) om aan jou 'n nuwe US netwerk wagwoord te verskaf. Hierna sal jy weer afkampustoegang verkry na die biblioteek se e-bronne met jou nuwe netwerk wagwoord.


BELANGRIK: Om sekuriteitsredes is dit nodig dat gebruikers hul US netwerk wagwoord elke 90 dae verander.



Hoe verkry ek afkampustoegang van die biblioteek se e-bronne?

Om afkampustoegang te verkry na die biblioteek se e-bronne, moet jy 'n ingeskrewe netwerk geregistreerde voorgraadse-, nagraadse- of voornemend nagraadse student of personeellid van Universiteit Stellenbosch wees.

Wanneer jy afkampus die ‘afkampus aantekenskerm’ kry, teken aan met jou US kampus Gebruikersnaam en Wagwoord. Sodra aangeteken, behoort jy volle toegang tot al die subskripsie elektroniese bronne van die biblioteek te hê.​

Indien jy 'n personeellid, student of voornemende nagraadse student van Universiteit Stellenbosch is wat nie vir netwerktoegang geregistreer het nie, en dus nie oor 'n gebruikersnaam en wagwoord beskik nie, sien inligting oor hoe om afkampustoegang te verkry na die biblioteek se e-bronne.
